Append to the address as ?seed= plus this hash to find the same worm again.

Drag to orbit the animal, wheel or pinch to zoom. Steering acts only through the head: the animal turns by bending deeper to one side, as the real worm does. Release the keys and, after four seconds, it goes back to exploring on its own.
Plug in or pair any standard gamepad (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, generic) and press a button — the browser exposes it through the Gamepad API, no setup. Left stick swims and turns, right stick (or the triggers, A/B) swims up and down, the d-pad works as arrows.

Full immersive mode. Open the plate in a headset's browser (Quest, Pico, Wolvic, Vision Pro Safari) or in Chrome / Edge with a headset connected, and press ENTER VR on this card (it appears under FILL / 1:1 when the browser reports a headset) — on a passthrough headset ENTER AR sets the animal and its lattice in your room. The same scene is drawn to both eyes through the headset's own optics: the animal and the living lattice stand in front of you in stereo, 70 cm per body length, and swim past you.
checking for a headset…
Left hand — thumbstick swims and turns (as you see it); trigger swims up, grip swims down.
Right hand — thumbstick forward / back brings the animal nearer or farther, left / right turns the world about it in 30° steps; trigger up, grip down; A / X cycles the scale (35 cm · 70 cm · 1.4 m per body length); B / Y toggles FOLLOW (on: the animal stays before you as it swims and the world glides past; off: the room is fixed); press the thumbstick to recentre. A single controller drives the animal; a headset with hands only (no controllers) is for looking — the animal explores on its own. Release everything and the animal explores on its own after four seconds. The headset's own button leaves the session.
From the console: SETHIX.xr.enter('vr') or SETHIX.xr.enter('ar') (a browser that wants a tap for an immersive session arms the next click or key), SETHIX.xr.exit(), SETHIX.xr.scale, .follow, .recentre(), .plugin(fn) for your own per-frame code; ?xr=1 in the address arms the first tap.
Open the browser console — F12, or Ctrl+Shift+J (Windows / Linux), ⌘+⌥+J (Mac) — and type SETHIX. SETHIX.worm() the animal, SETHIX.diet what it has eaten and become, SETHIX.substrate() the living lattice, SETHIX.damage and SETHIX.stuck its state, SETHIX.fill the plate, SETHIX.seed(hex) to found a named worm, SETHIX.xr the headset (enter, exit, scale, follow, plug-ins), SETHIX.fidelity what is transcribed from where. SETHIX.drive('fwd', true) steers from the console.
